Just installed my Windows 7 today. So far I've had 2 problems:

1. When I rotate the screen to use my Elitebook as tablet, the screen goes dark and nothing can bring it back...I'll have to shut down the machine cold.

2. When I try to register my fingerprint by calling on the biometrics devices in the control panal, I could get as far as to register my windows password. After that I get a "TrueSuite.FPR has stopped working" message. The problem signature says "System.NullReferenceException".

Does anyone have the above problems and know how to fix them?

Yes, I use it with the native Windows 7 drivers from Windows Update and the built-in Biometrics control panel. Do NOT attempt to install the Vista drivers for the fingerprint reader. The only ones you should download separately are the 4 listed in the article. :)

Sorry for the late reply.

DriveGuard working perfectly after I installed the latest release instead of the one I obtained from this article. Do a search in the HP official website to find the latest DriveGuard installation for the 2730p. It is intended for Vista, but it works on my machine with Win7.

Is 3D DriveGuard working for you? It seemed to have installed correctly on my machine, but i can never get it to activate (of course i will not go so far as to drop the device on the floor, but it does not seem to activate even with rigorous movements).

Other than that, it is working perfectly for me. Very responsive on Win7.
